Inspiration for our music video

 We were inspired by an HBO series, Euphoria. Euphoria is a group of teenagers struggling with drugs, mental illness, and love. The plot of euphoria inspired us to base our project upon drug addiction and how it affects the mental health of not only the person who’s addicted but their loved ones too. Euphoria is a very good example of expressionism, which is exactly the approach we took for our project. Furthermore, the low-key lighting we used in our music video was also inspired by the series to connote the deep emotions of the characters.

We were inspired by this shot of rue (a character from euphoria) laying down in the bed looking straight into the camera, with a warm tone along with low green light. We tried to create a similar shot to connote the loneliness of our character.
